A lot to think about in this book. Tackled everything from physics, to death, to road trips, to cults, mythology and pretty much anything else you could think of. There was a lot of promise in the beginning but by the end I was left feeling a bit disappointed. Overall a good read though, kept me entertained.
A quick, cute read. Not very involved but a fun story. Great for mystery lovers who are also intrigued by the supernatural, but definitey chicklit!
Just couldn't seem to get into it. After 2 months, this book is still sitting on my coffee table and I can't bring myself to finish it. I think I went into the book with too many expectations and ended up being disappointed. I found it really hard to get into and then just when I did, the story changed. A little too disjointed for my liking.
I was addicted the moment I picked up this book! Even though it's a true story, it reads like a fictional thriller...maybe because a lot of the circumstances in the story are so shocking that it's sometimes hard to remember that it's true and not some crazy plot invented by some author! The book itself is well-written and Preston keeps the story fast-paced, revealing insights to the many surprising twists and turns during this 30+ year investigation. I really enjoyed reading the short snippets of Italian history and the Renaissance. I was completely shocked to discover the corrupt state of parts of the Italian judiciary/legal system.
